I listened to some stuff on their site. I don't like the dude's voice at all.

They opened for Ben Kweller earlier this year. I liked em then and I like the album a lot.
The singer is 16. Maybe his voice will change once he hits puberty.

Oh, Ok thanks. I really am struggling to remember them. I think I was too excited for seeing Adam Green.
I know that we will be home engaged in solemn prayer with our lord jesus christ on the night of september 11th, so probably won't make their show.
but if enough people on the board dislike a band, that's usually inspiring enough for me to give them a closer listen. hehehe

nothing special about this band. but Q magazine LOVES them….its funny how British Magazines LOVE all the crappy US bands and vice versa.
gawd awful phonies. I'm sure their whole "preachers sons" backstory is bullshit. I dislike their look, I dislike their sound and if I ever saw one of those rediculous asshole walking down the street I'd pop 'im one.

kind of like the Strokes if they were from the South? I read one review saying they were like the Strokes playing Lynard Skynrd.

It's amazing how too much press will actually harm a new band's credibility. I picked up their Ep and am luke warm on it. Its okay but nothing too special. I might end up going, but it's the same week as Dandys and Mogwai. Woof! Did anyone pick up the new album this week yet? Any thoughts?
