Best CD purchases online

Okay all-knowing boardies, I'm in need of buying a few cds that I haven't found in local stores. Also, I find I'm highly tempted to shop online while at work.
With this in mind, is there a good, indie-minded website where my money is best spent? While I'd love the prices to be good, I also want to support music businesses with a slightly smaller reach than, say, Clearchannel. So any suggestions?

http://www6.cd-wow.net/ go and buy the corals new album.
make sure you get the .net right, might have to type it in twice……
I seem to get everything I need from ebay and amazon, the new and used prices in amazon can be very good.

I *love* Not Lame, Kosmo. I forget about these places. Okay, if I'm getting The Bigger Lovers, best album to start with?

i figured you either love or hate not lame… i only know the first bigger lovers and dug it from the first spin. can't comment on the second. also be sure to checkout the mood elevator if it's in stock. the atomic numbers is quite good as well.

www.cdbaby.com is a great source for independently release cds… i highly recommend The Sugarplastic.
www.cdstreet.com is not as well known as cdbaby but is worth a quick look.
as check out rainbowquartz.com, it's without a doubt one of the best guitar pop labels out there these days.

Don't forget the Kloot lads!
That's right! Hey, is there anywhere I can hear some of their stuff, just to get a flava…?

they are a very obscure band.
you can get it here:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/index=music&field-keywords=i%20am%20kloot&search-type=ss&bq=1/102-0751286-6764929 It seems expensive, but it was 16 great british pounds in the UK when I looked for it

*sniff, sniff* You remind me of the old days at my college radio station. DAMN that was a long time ago, and maybe the best time I've ever had (music-wise) – access to ALL new music ANY time I wanted. Oh, those halcyon days. Enjoy!
Just to date myself, my favorite bands at the time were The Wonder Stuff, Connells, early Lemonheads (Hate Your Friends), Royal Court of China, Voice of the Beehive, Bob Mould's first solo outing. Gee whiz…..

Amen!
The Telepathic Butterflies album is probably the catchiest thing to come out all year. Absolutely flawless. I keep meaning to listen to Outrageous Cherry, maybe I'll spin it when I'm at the campus radio station this week.

Yup, I agree on the Wonder Stuff. Actually, the only album I still listen to really is The Eight-Legged Groove Machine.
As for the Connells, "Fun and Games" is a fantastic album. If it's a dollar, it's money well spent (I think it's worth a fourth of a pint). Again, I like other albums, but Fun and Games is the gem.

Ok I will add that to the mental list.
I saw the wonderstuff in Leicester when Hup had just come out. Dont let me down gently was the key non-smiths song of my adolescence.
