The Apparitions

Did anyone else catch this show at Iota? I dragged some friends out there at the last minute on a hunch that it would be a good show after hearing a few tunes on WOXY. Not disappointed at all - I was very impressed. Good songs, great lead and backup vocals, good stage presence, and in talking to them they all seemed like genuinely nice guys. I picked up the album and it's equally solid.

The lead singer lives in the area now, so they'll probably make some more appearances. Keep an eye out…

I have a couple of their mp3s and like them - have worked em into some setlists at the club

I've also noticed that they seem to be getting much more publicity than other (possibly stretching the defintion of local) bands - I think they are on a Tower or Borders listening station this month - there was an ad to this effect in the most recent Magnet magazine
