No KOL rollcall?

i have a feeling this may be a young crowd, but hopefully not too young

I think it's pretty much in the Vansmack thread.

but hopefully I will be at both shows, hiding from KoL fans.

I will likely head down and try to grab a ticket – more for BRMC than KoL.

I don't know, I'm afraid of what they might be.

I don't really know KoL but nothing I've heard has interested me.

i've found their "singles" are much more blah than the other album tracks.

it seems KOL has a big "jailbait" fanbase.

A few years ago, Kurosawa and I went to the 9:30 Club to see the 22 20s and the KOL just happened to be on the bill. They were a bit better than I expected but I still didn't like them. The little bit of the new material I've heard seems to be a big improvement yet just not my cup of tea. Sounds a little less Alt-Country and a bit more Indie Rock; at least, to me based on those few cuts.

Anyway, they have a big off-kilter baseball hat wearing fan base. Something tells me an extra dose of hypesters will be in attendance since they've been getting loads of air play on the local mainstream Indie stations. Getting past that, between the 2 bands, I suspect it will be a good show.

jag - you're right, lots of baseball hats but decent crowd

glad the crowd was mixed age wise, no shoving is alwasys a good thing

KOL are like that impulse DVD that you buy because you think you might want to check it out, then you watch it once and never again. You end up wishing you had just rented it.

I feel that way about just about all DVD's. unless it's got someone really hot in it.
