Bubba or Dubya?

I heard some journalist bring up whichever candidate's it was slogan…"are you better off today than you were four years ago"…and it got me thinking (seriously for a change). This is what I realized.
When Clinton was el'Pres;
I was making more money
My 401K was a lot healthier
I didn't feel as if the government was spying on me constantly.
I felt a lot safer in the world.
The news was a lot more interesting
Now I don't side with any party, but those are the facts plain and simple.
I'd be interested to see how other "non-partisan" folk feel about it.

The Patriot Act was one of the biggest selling-away of human rights in western democracy in a long time… The sad thing was nobody stood up against it because the passed it by playing on people's high emotions after September 11th, so nobody dared question it, for fear of being labelled 'unpatriotic' and losing the vote in the next election.

I'm not a Bush fan, however.
I think the way you made the statement certainly made it seem like you were placing all of the blame on a certain person.

If you judge it by the "better off 4 years ago" thing that every politician likes to use, then I'd say Clinton takes it. More money was good, and I think at least Canada liked us a little back then. That's not to say Clinton or Bush are the reasons for things happening, they just happened to be there at certain times. And it's a scientific fact that blow jobs make better news than weapons of mass destruction.

No, thats Mankies job.
I suppose I should have told him that his utopic America is just a glorious nostalgic view of things past, like one of those 50's movies, or like his hair and 36'' waist.

It's a typical June in Barcelona - somebody needs to become president and that's how they get elected - hype!
However, money talks in spanish football. I hear a deal for Rhonaldino is on hold pending the outcome the outcome of the Barca-Beckham proposal.
I can't imagine Rhonaldino on the right side instead of Beckham.
