for those who complain that dc audiences are lame, that certainly wasn't the case tonight. as the front half of the flooring was sea of moving people totally into the band.

Hands down the most energetic show I've ever been to at the 9:30 Club. I agree with Kosmo that there was a bit of a lull towards the middle…but what else do you expect from a 2+ hour set? I'm amazed that Gogol Bordello can perform like that every night. And easily one of the best crowds in DC that I've ever been a part of - a blast of a show.

I definitely agree with both you guys. The crowd was amazing. You could tell it was gonna be a good time just looking around at how excited people were before gogol even came on. More people were dancing to the dj songs than usually dance when the headliner is playing. And Gogol didn't disappoint. The mosh pits were awesome, too. It was a mix between people running and pushing, and people standing in the middle of the circle trying to do some sort of eastern european dance with other people trying to follow along. Either way was really fun. And, the slow songs did bring the show down a little bit, but I think most people were getting a little tired anyway.

I was right up front, and spent most of the show with some guy's dick halfway up my … yeah. Great show anyway; the energy was amazing! I've been to some fairly crazy shows before, but this one topped 'em all. Gogol is great, and you could tell everyone was into it.

not one person was "thrown off stage" last night. several jumped, a few climbed down on their own, and the rest were escorted to the stairs upstage and sent back into the crowd.

Hey, now, that black guy in the striped shirt totally got thrown off once.

Okay, so it was only once. Shh.
