for sure - i think it'll be a great show.

are you coming out to black cat on saturday night, kosmo? would love to have you.
I'm going. The album is kind of one dimensional, but that one dimension is a killer. I'm betting it'll be a great live show.

I find them so much more infectious live; present!
live foruming is it a first and or just lame…

Glad I got here early as its not everyday that one gets to see a ska reggae band with a touch of metal from bogata columbia play. Skampida played the roll of warmup perfectly interesting enough to keep my attention and get the juices flowing…

Next up vox and some cookies…

DJ is spinning an Interesting mix of punk hot jazz
Cookies were as always yummy!

not much to say about vox… Other than they have a violin player, are from providence rhode island, and have several t-shirts for sale… At this point they are delaying the arrival of why we are all here.. Especially when they lauched into their butchering of a pixies song

Spotted in the crowd is q fellow with a hairdo that would make morrissey proud.
minutes away from gogol and I would have rather listened to the dj instead of vox…

did anyone see the person wearing the green cheerleader outfit?
as expected the chaos peeking through on their records comes out full force live. show started out with lots of energy and fun… however for me the middle section got tedious as the putzed around with several slow songs. as the band began to pickup steam again towards the end, my ran out…

for those who complain that dc audiences are lame, that certainly wasn't the case tonight. as the front half of the flooring was sea of moving people totally into the band.

Think Globally, Fuck Locally Indeed!
Gogol Bordello are so three years ago. What you really need to be listening to is Wolfmother and Tapes n Tapes.

Hands down the most energetic show I've ever been to at the 9:30 Club. I agree with Kosmo that there was a bit of a lull towards the middle…but what else do you expect from a 2+ hour set? I'm amazed that Gogol Bordello can perform like that every night. And easily one of the best crowds in DC that I've ever been a part of - a blast of a show.

Skampida was great. Did anybody else see the kid up front with the Colombian flag who was rocking out with them through their entire set?

Man I love seeing that kind of stuff.

there were a couple of groups of people really into them up front, one passed up a scarf the guitar wore for while.
