Are I Bet you… and When the Sun Goes Down the highpoints of this album? I'm not really feeling those tunes as a first impression. I feel burned by the hype machine since CYHSY so I'm hesitant to pick anything up that's generated this amount of buzz.

I'm curious as to what Tim from Ash's solo record will sound like, given all the attention focused on the Arctic Monkey. Ash was certainly bring metallic sounds to their pop long before AM hit the scene. Tim should show these upstarts how its done right…
oops guess i should have clicked on that myspace bulletin… as it's only a single and very much different then Ash. Charlotte did however leave the band…

The Arctic Monkeys were in the video filmed for the speech that was shown at the awards ceremony, but Keith Murray of We Are Scientists was sitting in the midst of them and holding the award and actually made the speech itself. But they were in there, just taking the piss. NME knew exactly what was going on…at least the editors did, and the awards people did, but apparently the film crew did not, despite the American accent of Murray.
Well, that's good to know. The story I read said that NME and the producers were all hoodwinked. Thanks for the clarification.
