i cannot make it as a) don't get paid until friday (also the reason i skipped all the shows this weekend), and b) don't have tomorrow off, even though the government is closed. ugh.

Man, that's your excuse for missing all the shows. Is it Burger King or McDonalds that aint paying you enough? How about starting a union?

yeah, those double shifts don't pay as much as you would think.

oh yeah, hehe, i forgot. i had a wet blanket last night….

I wanna go so much, but I'm so beat. Saw three shows this weekend, have Lyle Lovett tomorrow (front row, I believe), and something every other day of the week. The trek to B'more on a Monday (without Tuesday off) is more than I can do….

See, time or money. It's always one of the two getting in the way.

exactly!!!!! the boiler in my building busted and they have to put in a whole new one!!! my landlord said "hopefully by Thanksgiving"

i havent paid rent yet this month, and wont til i get some heat!! hehe.

While the heats off, try boiling lots of big pots of water. It really does help to take the chill off. You can even take a pot or two into another room and let it sit and it will cut the frost at least. Also, do some baking. Once finished, let the oven door stay open for awhile. Just DO NOT operater the stove or oven without cooking or you'll overheat the thing and have more trouble than you know what to do with.

Even a gas stove. You don't want to gas yourself to death.

Start celebrating Thanksgiving early and put a turkey in the oven on a very low heat all night. Just make sure it's loaded with liquids and covered in foil so it doesn't burn up.
