I would consider going if they said Jimmy Eat World was headlining and playing a (close to) full set. Cake and Donnas are tolerable too.

If you take two Jimmy Eat World stickers and cut them up, you can make a new one that says Eat My Jimmy. Immature, yes, but so is their crummy "rock."

So basically between this and the Merriweather show, we probably won't get a full Cake set this tour, given how little time they apparently like to spend on the road.

Bummer for me anyway.

HHHMMM..should I go to the cook off or not..Last time I went waited forever to use a crap fulled portadump, would get back in line for a beer then go get in line for the portadump again. I think I'd rather drip on honey on my body and have a million fireants feast on me. But then again I'm like that.

Just stand outside the fence not more than 20 feet from the stage with hardly anyone around you for free. The only way to go, if you go at all. Then you can visit the eatery in the PO for only a 100% markup and not the cookoff's 200%.

Cake R O C K E D last time at the 9.30 club, but merriwether? too far, too big, too muddy, blah….

Sorry Ronni, I was out of town when you posted. And the bands were announced on Sept 7th, so i thought it was new news. Don't think anyone here is going anyway. I'll hope for a real Jimmy Eat World show (and hope that the new album is good…)

i am a little embarassed to admit it, but i agree. i cant stand them. not even thier early stuff, tho it is more bearable.
