Saw them last Saturday in Ottawa and again last night in Philly. Both times, Torq said that this will be their last show for quite awhile (Amy is releasing her solo album on May 27th, touring behind that, then they will start work on the new album).
Shows have been amazing. Alot more stuff from Heart than I expected. They're touring with a violin player, which really helps fill out the sound.
We're all in for a special special treat.

I'm going, but only becaue i have a website and can get press passes long after shows sell-out.
can someone explain how, when and why this band became so popular? is it just because they are canadian? this is the same band i saw open for magnetic fields at the black cat 5 or 6 years ago, the same band i saw at fez up in new york during cmj, playing the wussiest indie-synth pop you could imagine, right?
im going tonight. i cant wait, it should be awesome. i love "set yourself on fire."

just found this. Stars' myspace site has some alternate versions/demo versions/b-sides. really cool stuff.

it was an excellent, excellent concert. Best new band I've heard / seen since … since … oh I dunno, Sigur Ros? Obviously I don't get out much but Stars were most impressive. Sign me up, I'm now a fan.
They put on the best show I've ever seen them play! There was an energy level that surpassed all previous shows. Evan Cranley and Torq Campbell moved around alot more than usual and it seemed that Torq was doing as much as possible to connect with the crowd. Even Amy cracked more than the occasional sultry smile. She was making jokes, laughing, and talking to audience members.
Shows like Stars make me realize why I go to so many shows. If even one in ten is this good, then it's all worth it.
We got lots of good pictures, too. I hope to post a link to them later this weekend.
