Evidently, when you fall off your bike, the most common injury is;
a) broken collar bone, or
b)dislocated shoulder.
The reason for this is the injury will happen at the weakest point and cyclist are usually of slight build so the shoulder area gets it. I'm rather broad-shouldered and "muscley" up there, so my wrist got the worst of it.
So, you're saying that you're limp-wristed?
What is the difference between a separated shoulder, a dislocated shoulder, and a broken shoulder?

# Dislocation - The shoulder joint is the most frequently dislocated major joint of the body – often caused by a significant force that separates the shoulder joint's ball (the top rounded portion of the upper arm bone, or humerus) away from the joint's socket (glenoid).
# Separation - The shoulder becomes separated when the ligaments attached to the collarbone (clavicle) are torn or partially torn away from the shoulder blade (scapula). Shoulder separation may be caused by a sudden, forceful blow to the shoulder or as a result of a fall.
#Fracture - a partial or total crack or break through a bone that usually occurs due to a impact injury.

[/QB]I didn't mean it like that and you know it……I meant relative to your 'typical' cyclist's physique.

I knew those most predictable would come up with the 'limp wrist' comment, but manly enough enough to take it.
That picture has been doing the rounds on the cycling board for a couple of months….. I think he was fine.

As for me, well I am doing OK, I got back on my bike again last Sunday and seem to be fine. It aches a bit and hurts like shit if I try and put my arm into a forbidden position, but it's much better than I was expecting.
it was bound to happen,you crazy bastard……a fireroad ;) how did it happen?
