Worst Part - Getting the fuck out of the parking lot. They make the folks at Nissan look like geniuses. More than 2 hours to get out.
Hey, it could have been worse. You could have been there the next night:
from mtv.com:
"Cops working the John Mayer concert at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pennsylvania, were busy on Saturday, arresting 63 fans, according to The Patriot-News. Among the arrests were 46 for underage drinking; 14 for disorderly conduct; and three each for public drunkenness, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia."

Just back in town. Saw the show from Section 5 and I thought it was pretty good. They sounded a little out of sych on a few songs…but it could have been the large stadium effect.
Best Part - "Can't Stand Losing You". Sounded fantastic. Reminds me what an awesome group they are.

Question, how do I find out the show information for Police on Friday at Madison Square Garden? I can't find anything anywhere. Is there an opener?
Only information I can get is from TicketMaster, which says:
BEST BUY PRESENTS
THE POLICE
LIVE IN CONCERT
MADISON SQUARE GARDEN
NO CAMERAS/RECORDERS
WED OCT 31, 2007 8:00PM
Does that mean doors at 8:00, etc.
Thanks to anyone who has advice.

And it's been years since I've been to a show at MSG so I'm not sure if that's start time or door opening time. If I had to guess, that's show start time, with doors opening at 7.
Originally posted by Bags:Show starts at 8. Almost positive Fiction Plane are the openers, but you could get something extra with it being New York & all. You'll have a great time.

per the msg website - www.thegarden.com:
Door Opening Times
Doors for MSG Arena and Theater events open one hour prior to event start time. If you are attending a Knicks, Rangers, or Liberty game and are in possession of Club tickets, you may enter the Play by Play, The Club Bar and Grill, and The Garden Terrace two hours prior to game time. Reservations are not required to dine in the Play by Play, however, you must call 212-465-6290 to make reservations for The Club Bar and Grill. Or one day, you will come back around D.C.
I'm holding out for something great at the Black Cat at the moment. I'm not the biggest fan Kings of Leon or Rilo Kiley, but I don't hate them so if enough boardies are there, I'll do it for the moment.

the day itself was miserable - had just broken up with bf, and neither of us would give on the tix so we went together.
Man, this tour is doing monster business. All this money to travel first class around the US for a few months, playing songs that are 25 to 30 years old.

Director is good for atleast 5K seats per show, so I think the stats are misleading should be separate category for him and his ilk.

LOL @ ilk . . . Who are you, fucking Korneheiser & Wilbon???
At least the songs the Police are doing are newer than what CSN go out and do on a more regular basis for hefty fees…

Oh, glad to see you've recovered from the weekend and back online, thought we lost you there.
Now there's a perfect rationalization.

BTW, Whitlock is a fucking hack. Did you see his quote that hip-hop should be blamed for Michael Vick's dogfighting??? And NO, I swear that's not a misquote.

Okay, if knowledge is the key then just show me the lock.
Got the scrawny legs but I move just like Lou Brock,
With speed. I'm agile plus I'm worth your while.
One hundred percent intelligent black child.
My optic presentation sizzles the retina.
How far must I go to gain respect? Um.
Well, it's kind of simple, just remain your own
Or you'll be crazy sad and alone.
Industry rule number four thousand and eighty,
record company people are shady.
So kids watch your back 'cause I think they smoke crack,
I don't doubt it. Look at how they act.
Off to better things like a hip-hop forum.
Pass me the rock and I'll storm with the crew and …
Proper. What you say Hammer? Proper.
Rap is not pop, if you call it that then stop.
