hey fico - its at DC9. see you there maybe? i traded emails with your guys' manager earlier today, actually, about maybe doing an iota set in april/may.
If I'm not tracking something down in the studio I will definitely make it…

btw, the Sound of Music thingy may fall through..I really like the songs you lot have up, was it all recorded there?? we're looking into other recording options and was wondering where you might have done some of the tracking..you can e-mail me at info@cedarsmusic.com and I'll be on the look for that e-mail… thanks!
not sure i'm going to be at ALL of these, but at least quite a few of them…

3/19 - The Go! Team, BC

3/24 - Ted Leo if we can get extra tickets
3/28 - Simon Dawes, 9:30

and starting to schedule April already…
4/7 - The Walkmen, wherever that Virginia thing is…we are so road-tripping…
4/10 - The Sounds, 9:30
4/21 - Nickel Creek & The Ditty Bops, 9:30

there are TONS of others that i would like to be at, too…but i don't have time to do everything…maybe/hopefully, the Strokes show, too…

Also. I noticed that not many of you had March 28th on your lists of shows. You probably aren't fans of Eisley, but I will urge you all once again to PLEASE check out the first opening band, Simon Dawes. They remind me very much of a fusion between The Walkmen and Bowie…and still, very different. They have a really interesting sound and a fabulous live energy. And, I'm not sure when they're going to be back again; so PLEASE go check them out. Seriously. You will NOT be disappointed.

Plus, you'll totally be the first person on the East Coast to be into them.

i think the last time we heard this we were all directed towards blue merle's website … forgive me for being a bit skeptical
just go listen to them. if you like them, go see them play. it's very simple.
but they are good guys.

i mean, i HOPE that if they get on another good tour or get some good press then they'll be back whenever they get around to it. but they are awesome.
not as many as most of you given that I'm still in high school and have a very limited budget, but…

Mini roll calls…

So who is going to be at the Subways show? Sounds like a good night for a little post show backbar forum action.

I'm seriously considering a brought to you by the letter D edition for the DJ setlist.

Detroit, Dayton, DC, Jim Diamond, D4, Drive-by Truckers, not sure where The Jam "Going Underground" will fit though….

I thought there was a chance with the Brazilian Girls, you like them, right? Or saw them at a festival on the West Coast or something like that?
Saw Brazilian Girls at festival and hated them.

I'd be interested in seeing Jenny Lewis, maybe, but I'll be out of the country at that time. And obviously, I'd see them at the Birchmere and not the Cradle.

Well, given that I live 15 mins from one and 5 hours from the other.

Not to mention the Cradle is a total smoke den. Or is it nonsmoking now?

No, I was agreeing. I would go to Birchmere if not for Prodigy being the same night.

Cat's Cradle is still allow smoking (or at least did last time I was there) but it wasn't awful.
