Still remember at the old 9:30 some git was moshing and stage diving to Camper Van Beethoven. He was kicked out.

i was pleased with the faint's crowd, there was a big tall guy in front of me, so i jsut made friends with the people next to him between sets and moved over, not that hard. basically i jsut talked my way all the way to the front of the crowd, without pissing people off.

I must say, the really tall guy who doesn't move is the best kind of tall guy. You can just move your head or shift a bit and see. The hardest really tall guy to deal with is the dancing or side-to-side swaying guy, cuz he keeps moving into your sight line – you basically are forced to sway at his chosen rate in order to see.

But, it's no tall guy's fault that he's tall, and he has as much right as anyone to stand where he can. A friend of mine is 6' 2", and he hunches – he's so self-concious about blocking folks view, but most of the time he's one of the most excited and devoted audience members there.

At Ted Leo, there was a really tall girl with a pony tail who was dancing a goofy Cameron Diaz dance right in front of me. I would have been annoyed, except there was something endearing about her goofiness and total lack of self-awareness…also it took all the strength I had not to pull her ponytail…

What a bunch of pussies on this site. I don't like the jock guy just rushing people in the pit either, but just because people move and shake different than you is no reason to hate. Sounds like a lot of people posting on here are the "I'm too hip for even this show" kinda crowd. And if you're ever complaining about pushing or moshing, stop going to shows…People these days just lost their edge and wanna bitch. If you wanna see the show in an insulated environment, buy a DVD or something, assholes. And fuck sitting in the back if I didn't show up early, I'll push up to wherever I want. I payed same price and don't decide how my schedule/traffic will go, so fuck the guy that says otherwise.

And when you get kicked out for pushing up through the crowd, what then? Remember you snooze you lose. You want to get to the front, put the time and effort in and get there early. You can, if you really wanted to. But to force your way through people to fill a space that doesn't exist is rude. Period. What would you do if someone shoved you out of the way to get in front of you?

I was agreeing with everything he said until he came to the pushing his way to the front comment. I guess during a heavy show its ok cause everyone is pushing and shoving anyways. But for a not so heavy show, It's just not right….That simple….But pretty much the rest of your comments were dead on.
