someone's never been to the south side on a saturday night. i lived in pittsburgh for most of my life, its a bit harsh to call it 'dead'Someone has been to the sa' side on a saturday night. Granted, it is lively, but its one street in the entire city that is lively. However, that's across the river. Have you been in downtown Pittsburgh on a saturday night? Ghost town. (That's what Baltimore seemed to be like as well.) Plus, they just closed down another live music venue. The club show is practically nonexistent in the Burg.

Granted, it may not be what you want to do, but theres stuff a plenty.
Of course, the Power Plant if you want a meat market. you also have Federal Hill which has a ton of bars and a few clubs. Fells Point is always good for drinking and bars, as is Canton.
you have some clubs downtown, Sonar, One and a few others. Plus some venues up the streets (i hesitate to say uptown) by the Belvedere and even past the with the Ottobar (which isnt just a concert hall you know)
theres lots of stuff to do in Baltimore, silly people!

plus, they've started having shows at the warehouse on 21st street. once one venue goes down in pittsburgh, another one springs forth. its the circle of life
