Please stop complaining about

Baltimore! I love Baltimore and most of the people are actually nice here! (A polite change from all the snobby hipsters of DC).

People who attend Power Plant Live excluded of course.

Feel free to leave your insults below, cause I know you want to…..but Baltimore will always be nicer and more pleasant (albeit a little dirtier) than DC. All part of its charm. That's why they call it charm city.
plus it has what DC no longer does – a genuine red-light district!
Apparently they call it charm city because of little souvenir charms they used to give out to kids at touristy points of interest.
Who's complaining about Baltimore?

Yeah..if there's one thing DC's lacking it's corners to buy crack and smack and hookers. We need more of that shit!
I have to say, being a non-native of either DC or Baltimore and living in NoVA, that there is no reason after a couple visits that I find myself ever wanting to go to Baltimore. It seems to be a dead town, almost as dead as the town I'm originally from, Pittsburgh.

Although, I do hear you got a nice aquarium up there. Maybe someday I'll check that out.

I was in Pittsburgh for the first time in October for a conference and I really liked the city. I stayed in Oakland and was around the Pitt campus, but still got out a bit, and I was pleasantly surprised …
If one could equate cities to a style of music, I would say that Balitmore is punk rock and Washington DC is adult contemporary. That being said I love both cities.
I like Baltimore - we have a bunch of friends who live up there in beautiful houses that are about 50% or less of the cost of a similar house in DC

seems to have lots of great little bars and restaurants - the Brewers Art, the Helmand etc etc

it has a reasonably successful football team and a baseball team (unlike DC HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA)

granted it has some pretty scary areas though

I'd say Baltimore is Wesley Willis (RIP little buddy) or hair metal, and DC is crunk (check out my favorite place to keep my ears on the tracks, the NYtimes arts section, if you'd like a definition), or downbeat
baltimore = garage rock
dc = emo
i like baltimore alot. heading up there friday, in fact. i like the fact that its close when traffic is managable, nice to leave town without having to spend 4 hours in the car. has more of a native character than dc as well.

someone's never been to the south side on a saturday night. i lived in pittsburgh for most of my life, its a bit harsh to call it 'dead'
There were some people complaining about it on the Wrens post….glad to see that so many of you like it. I think it's nice there….

I like DC too….

Where? I just read through that thread and didn't see any complaints about Baltimore. The only thing I read that could be filed under complaint was redsock's posts about not being able to book the band.
