Indie Rock TV Ads

This is probably the most bizarre one.

Stephin Merritt - Volvo
This one's my favorite because it's so fitting in so many ways:

Animal Collective - Crayola Color Explosion

Seriously, is there a more fitting company for AC to do a commercial for?
I've been trying to find the Pontiac ad with the m83 song but have been striking out.
I'm too lazy to seach for them on youtube but 1990's have had 2 different songs appear in ads for Payless Shoes.
A gay liberal doing a commercial for Volvo? Doesn't sound that odd to me.

Can't find the Ratatat or Books hummer ads either.
wow, and blatant shilling too - its one thing to licence a song for use quite another to sing a corny jingle

Commercial is the new mainstream.
The Shins are total corporate sluts. They were shilling for McDonalds 6-7 years ago.
