hmm, I don't think I like that. Wasn't the initial purpose of Lollaplooza to be a traveling festival? It seems like they are trying to capitalize on the success of Bonnaroo, Coachella, and SXSW which turns me off. Not to mention I hate traveling. Although if the lineup is good enough I might consider going.

hmm, I don't think I like that. Wasn't the initial purpose of Lollaplooza to be a traveling festival? It seems like they are trying to capitalize on the success of Bonnaroo, Coachella, and SXSW which turns me off. Not to mention I hate traveling. Although if the lineup is good enough I might consider going.
They tried travelling last year but nixed the whole thing due to low sales,so they ARE trying to cash in on the Bonaroo/Coachella type event.Better than not having it at all.

It looks like these guys may have attended the Andrew Dreskin School of Festival Promotion
as long as they cancel it like, more than a week before the show.

Beck is rumoured so the show is sure to be doomed somehow.

i don't know if anyone else had any luck, but i got tickets.
they only put 2000 up at the $35 price.

i haven't seen anything on tickets via the site or e-mail (I signed up for the updates)…where did you get tickets from?

i was refreshing the site occasionally since midnight (though i did sleep of course!)
then at around 12:30, there was a "buy now" link. i clicked on it but it said no tickets were available, then the event disappeared from the list, so i left the site and went back to the lollapalooza site.. it said it sold out in 80 minutes which i knew wasn't true since the link hadn't been up that long.. the buy tickets link was gone, but i found the site again… kept refreshing. eventually tickets popped up.

i forgot they went on sale….its on their frontpage, even a tickets link…sold out in 80 minutes.

i hit refresh all morning…left aroun 12:30 to grab a quick lunch…and now the GD tickets are gone. bullsh*t! it's probably an omen. i had tix for last year's doomed lolla tour and maybe i should just forget about this one altogether. what an unorganized mess anyway…tickets will go onsale "sometime" on the 7th?? nice for all of us 9 to 5ers that don't have time to sit around and watch the f*cking site all day long.

I couldn't be happier right now about getting a $35 ticket and a hotel within a block of the park for less than $100!!!
