Luckiest Woman &/or or Man in Music

Who get's your vote for the luckiest woman &/or or man in music? Who got an impossibly good break? What talentless hack just happenned along at the right place and at the right time to stumble into super stardom? Who scored an embarrassingly sweet deal that they didn't rightfully earn?
A really good case could be made for Fred Durst.
Adam Clayton
Avril Lavigne maybe. Although I think her success is more due to her shrewdness in marketing than in total luck.

I might say Good Charlotte, but I don't want ThatGuy to be mad at me…

Kelly Osbourne is a pretty obvious answer. Even ignoring that she's an Osbourne, no label would touch her with a ten-foot pole if she didn't have the reality show to get known from.
Dupek - f*** you :p Courtney you can have (though I think she's talented, but a complete screw up); Grohl is wildly talented.

Random – I think you hit it with Durst.

Yeah…I can't think of a better choice than this. I hate that guy.
Nirvana. Curt Cobain in particular.
Mank, come on, Cobain's a talentless hack?? You don't have to love him or even like him, but I don't know how you can say talentless.

Kelly Osbourne is talentless, but I don't list her because I don't think musically she's achieved any fame or 'sweetness' – she's a simple celebrity for being a celebrity.
Art Garfunkel
Ringo Starr
Definitely Courtney Love
the pogues - shane mcgowan in particular

Ringo wrote "It Don't Come Easy". A kickass song, IMO.
Biz Markie
Biz Markie?!?

Pop music fans only know, "Just A Friend", but "Vapors" and "Nobody Beats The Biz" are bona-fide hip-hop classics.
got to be durst. went from being a tatoo artist and having to pay a radio station to play a limp bizkit song to being a filthy rich rock star.
