Not really…..I'm good for that one song but won't be heading into the used CD store looking for a Kasabian album because I probably missed those 15 minutes anyway…

Besides…at least I'm in the oughts and not going back to the 70's!!!

recently heard chez sweetcell, and recommended:

Burial - Untrue (pseudo-glitch with an extra dose of schizo - very trippy)
A Mountain of One - Collected Works (good mix of live instruments and electronica)
AmpLive - Rainydayz (RH's In Rainbows remixed, free!)
God Is An Astronaut - Far From Refuge (prep'ing for next month's show)

will give yeasayers a spin tonight or tomorrow hopefully.

when i'm in need of a some listening suggestions, i troll through the What Are You Listening To? thread.
If you liked Untrue, his self-titled is a must-have. I like it a little better but they're both near-perfect. Also in that realm:
Skull Disco's Soundboy Punishments compilation
Distance - My Demons
µ-Ziq - Duntisbourne Abbots Soulmate Devastation
Kode9 and the Space Ape - Memories of the Future
Well, you mentioned the BJM. Between former members new bands and bands who are tight with Anton, I'd recommend

Warlock - Heavy Deavy Skull Lover ( some of Bobby's best work yet IMHO)

The Outcrowd - Matt Hollywood's new band ( former BJM as well)

The Dilletantes - 101 Tambourines (Joel Gion,s new band) I have to admit to being skeptical of this one but it works.

BJM - My Bloody Underground ( Antons latest endeavor)

And then friends of the BJM

Stevenson Ranch Davidians

Lovetones

Morning After Girls

High Violets

Serena Mareesh

High Strung

And just for shits and giggles:

Adam Green - Jacket full of Danger Live

Jets Overhead - "Trance Rock" from Canadian…
The Bloody Hollies - Psychedelic Garage Rock
The Hentchmen with Jack White - Hentch-forth.five is a collection of recordings done around the time the White Stripes were breaking in as a duo. Lo-Fi and Raw

Still like the scuzzie blues of the Two Lone Swordsmen and the Teenage Fanclub meets Ash sound of the Hazey Janes.

Have you gotten out of your rut Chaz?

You might hit up the Black Angels for a Spacemen 3-esque tip.

That was the band I thought of when I re-read the opening post. I've been listening to 'Passover' a LOT lately. Have played the new one a few times and it hasn't sunk in yet, but Passover is just great.

Motorpsycho's 'Little Lucid Moments' is also prominent on the hi-fi lately. Sometimes they remind me of Swervedriver, sometimes of Comets on Fire.

And {{{Sunset}}}'s new one is pretty good too. Reminds me a little bit of early Notwist, as its kind of spacey and twinkly, in a drone-ish sort of way. P-fork's review this morning captured its main flaw though, which is that the second half gets pretty dull.

Somewhat - finding relief in the new Nick Cave album as well as few others and - gulp - my own musical endeavors.

I though the new BJM album was some serious suckage. Sounded like something me and my friends could have come up with in the living room after too many bonghits….(note i haven't been on the business end of a bong in a looooong time).

I'll have to check out the Black Angels. Thanks for that one.

And thanks for asking GGW!
