Okay - official roll call: who is going?
I'm there.
Can anybody tell me how big the festival grounds are compared to say…Bonnaroo?

I'll be driving out early Wednesday morning. Looks like a 12 and half hour drive for me. It needs to get colder. Now.

We don't hop on the plane till Friday morning, but will be in Chicago around noon. The layout is different this year than it was last. I'd say it's smaller than then layout of Bonnaroo.
See you all there.

I'll be there, and hopefully it won't be as hot as last year. Also noticed they reoriented the set up with the addition of more stages… looks like the dust bowl of softball fields won't be in play as much. Also doing T.C. on Friday night, and SY/Fiest at Doubledoor on Sat, followed by BuzzFly at Smartbar…be there or be….

looks like the highs for the windy city this weekend are 79,81,84 respectively. should be a near perfect weekend for an outdoor show!
Well, let's just hope the weatherman's right. I wasn't expecting it to be that low, I just didn't want it to be 100+. Not that I'm complaining, that forecast sounds great to me.
And to those that have been to Chicago, any suggestions for good (casual) restaurants and bars? Best pizza place?

The Lettuce Entertain You restaurants are all good. They have a website - do a search for it.
As far as pizza, Gino's East Pizzeria is the best in the city. Casual and fantastic. You could go to the Berghoff as well, which is a bit fancier but still great. For beer, check out the Goose Island Brewery down in Wrigleyville. Fantastic.

Awesome, thanks for the suggestions! I'll definitely check out Gino's and the brewery. I guess I should have specified "Chicago style" when I said pizza. I was just wondering if there was any sort of rivalry like Pat's vs. Geno's in Philly.
And it look slike my drive is actually 11 hours insted of 12.5 :D . Google gave me some whack directions. I was wondering how Sonick was gonna get there faster than me. [insert hedgehog joke here]

The drive should be somewhere between 11 and 13, depending on construction and traffic. I've done it many times; its not too bad, but Indiana and Ohio are brutal.
