U2 / MUSE in DC and VA

Got GAs for DC and Charlottesville this morning.  ;D

Funny how the pair of DC tickets ended up costing $21 more than the pair of C'ville ones ($156.70 vs. $135.70).

Thanks, Mr. Snyder.

Hey Eros did you get those tickets thru the u2 presale?  We had this option of presale in charlottesville but it didn't start till 12 by that time I tried to get GA and none were available.  Will try again friday.
I got them both at 10:00 using my passcode from U2.com.
Ok well I hope they release more for Friday.  Here in Cville we got 12pm presale but I bet they were all gone by then.

what presale you have at 12 ? is it a venue presale ? Friday?

general sale is on Monday?
It was the venue presale for here in Charlottesville and there was no GA at all in the sale.  The general sale is on Friday and for DC the general sale will be Mon I think.
I'm surprised there's not more talk about the on-sale this morning.  I had no problem getting field seats.  It looks like  you can still get the $250 seats and the $30 seats, but the $55/$95 tickets are gone.
i got my tix during the presale - seats for DC, field for c'ville.

there are not seats on the field, it's standing GA.

(yes, ;))
it's amazing how a $30 ticket turns into a $52 ticket after the fees…

Amazing.

It pains me that even one cent of what I spend to see U2 will go into this man's pocket.
by all accounts, DC has the privilege of paying the highest % surcharges of the tour thanks to additional "venue fees" (aka the snyder tax).

Thanks for the pre-emptive strike.

RatBastard will find this thread and set me straight.  ;)
I got shut out for general admission and I don't want to spend $50 for a $30 nosebleed seat.  The service fee for Fedex is $8 per ticket in addition to Ticketmaster.  How can that ass get away with that?
according to U2 site DC sold 60 000 in 2 hours

i am so happy for MUSE

gotta hear some new material  ;D

See, it's all about synergy®. Everything Danny Douchenozzle touches turns to shit so all of his businesses suffer accordingly. He can't field a respectable NFL team; he buys Six Flags, fires the dancing old man, apparently fires the ride maintenence as well, and nearly kills the franchise (and it may still go under); he can't get anyone to listen to his radio stations, mostly because they have crap signals. So he has to snort money any way he can.

And, sorry to say this, but expect to pay ~$25 to park at FedEx.

Or, you know, pay $2 and ride the metro.

From TM.com

Parking:
Parking price is included with the concert ticket purchase.
Parking is not included for Redskins games. Follow highway signs to parking.

The problem of course is that there isn't enough parking to begin with.  I assume that if it sells out it will have a larger crowd than a Redskins game?

That's a good surprise. Wonder if Snyder knows about that (one cannot be too cynical when it comes to Master Danny).

yup, since there will be several thousand additional people on the GA field.

i've never been out to fedex. i'm definitely going to look in to metro, although i can only imagine what the metro station looks like after a game (let alone a concert with several thousand more from the field).
