The Reissue Thread

Why they don’t reissue or I should say issue Arkology on vinyl is one of the great mysteries…

I already have this one and was wondering which tracks would be the same between Arkology and this collection.  The price for this collection seem reasonable given what some of these premium boxsets are going for these days, and might be fun to own.
I opened the link expecting a ridiculous price.  Was surprised the set is pretty reasonable based on what albums cost today.

well the price listed is for the UK and the shipping estimate is $59…  but amazon has it for $119

still reasonable and i have a gift card that i can't decide what to spend it on, so this is probably as good as anything.

and there are a total 52 tracks on Arkology and on the CDs for this collection there are 75 tracks alone
What a stupid box set.

I guess the same people will buy this that bought the 25 different color variants of III.
yikes this sounds horrible…

Mariah Carey Plans to Reissue Her Long-Lost Grunge Album
Initially recorded in 1995 under the band name Chick
The Young Ones has been comprehensively remastered in HD and will be released on Blu-ray next month to mark its 40th anniversary.

Brimming with deleted scenes, rarities and new commentaries, the 3-disc set also includes Boom Boom… Out Go The Lights. https://bit.ly/3WdHm9m

Only problem is I haven't had a DVD player going on a decade at this point
I’m no expert on Beatles records but the stereo mixes on this Revolver reissue sound amazing…

Dexy’s Midnight Runners just re- released what they are calling “Too-Rye-Ay (As It Should Have Sounded) and I’m finding it definitely sounding sharper and crisp especially the horns..

I wonder if there is a new approach to these newer mixes verses just cranking up the volume on them
I just can’t get into this retrospective mixing baloney

I get it…they got to keep flogging the dead 🐴

Count me in for Sweet FA which has never been on vinyl
Might be some live shows coming indeed…
DAMN!!!!
very tempting….$150ish…man, this is going to be hard to justify on the family budget discussion this month

this definitely makes a tour much more likely too

also, this is the only reason I'm getting it: an exclusive slipmat.

COMING LATER:
APRIL 28th - Earth, Sun, Moon & Love And Rockets
JUNE 9th - Hot Trip To Heaven & Sweet F. A.
OCTOBER - Two more releases will be announced in early 2023, details to come.

Wonder what is happening next october?
live? Unreleased?  New?
Interesting it doesn’t include their final album Lift.

Never buy these boxes until a year or two after they come out as price tends to drop. Only exceptions are really in demand titles
Lift was released on a different label Red Ant and isn’t even available on streaming
