;D

hmmmm Aracde Fire or Soundgarden???  Def Strokes over Lady Gaga

Having seen both Arcade Fire and Soundgarden I would say Arcade Fire is the easy choice.  I would pick Lady Gaga over the Strokes.  I have tickets but I am not going.  The schedule kind of makes the choice even easier.  Adding 20000 fans but making the quality of acts less means I am not going.
aftershows announced: http://do312.com/lollaaftershows

some good ones: devo + dirty projectors, cut copy + dragonette, hot chip + ancient astronauts, phoenix…

damn.

citi presale on wednesday for phoenix, all others: public on sale friday.
i better be seeing wild beasts at the empty bottle. love that place and an awesome band!
Devo + Dirty Projectors OR Big Pink?  Isn't Congress Theater huge? Not sure I want to see Devo there.

Wild Beasts wins Saturday though the venue is nowhere near a train.

The National + Antlers … how is the House of Blues as a venue?

I'll prob catch the new pornos Thursday show.  I never make it out to the aftershows on the day of festival.  It's always a mess trying to get out and hurrying to the show.  Any of you guys went to any of the ones last year??  Did you guys make it there without any problems?  ;D

MGMT aftershow is 80 bucks, ohh those hipsters  ;D
it's a fundraiser, FYI.
wml7: went to 4 afterparties/pre-party last year. Go if you think you'll have energy left after each day…

all venues are close to a train station, except for the Empty Bottle.

If they don't play Kids when I see them I am going to be pissed.  Really the new album is lame.  1960's sounding bullshit.  They are trying to destroy their career.

who said they had a career?  ;D
It's their "Creep". That's exactly what they did…piss off people.

Yeah I guess they figure if Radiohead doesn't play their best songs live they can too.  When I saw Radiohead they didn't do "Creep", "Fake Plastic Trees", "High and Dry", "Stop Whispering" or "Karma Police" and their last two albums were terrible yet they get more popular.  Go figure.  I will never see them again.
Well, Radiohead can't play every song they have.  It's just like Pearl Jam, they can't possibly play all the hits without pissing people off not hearing their favs.  I have however seen Radiohead play Creep (twice) Fake Plastic Trees, High and Dry, and Karma Police.  Sorry no Stop Whispering, how dare they  ;D

Well they only have a few hits so it wouldn't be that hard to play a few of them.
Three 8-10 hour days is all I can take – no way I can make after shows.  Age has clearly caught up with me….
This has me thinking though.  Maybe a different way to do Lolla is just go to Chicago and see what's in clubs.  Skip the fest, enjoy the full city, and see a few bands rather than a gaggle.

if you're in to hits, radiohead is definitely not the band for you.

that being said, i've seen RH many times and they have never not played at least one of the songs you mentioned.
