body image commiseration thread

Enough of this crap on the iphone thread. Kvetch here instead.

Me, I'm shooting for 160 by the end of summer. But my ultimate goal is more about body fat percentage than weight. I'm 5'8" and if I can be 160 with less than 10% body fat then y'all can kiss my by then perfect ass. My body type is mesomorph so my goals are not unreasonable.
I'll have to sit this one out - this is the "commiseration" thread….
I was concerned because last year my weight dropped below my norm of around 170 to around 158.  So as a remedial program, I started going to Five Guys and Chipotle a lot, as well as eating a daily Italian sub.   I got up to 165 but my doc told me my cholesterol was out of control, so  cut out Five Guys and the subs completely.   I also started going to the gym frequently to build muscle mass.  Now I'm eating a lot of whole wheat and drinking a glass of red wine each night.

i'm six four and weigh two thirty, been working out for about a month now and do have a little gut due to my desire for tasting the best beers on the planet.  am i fat?

If you have to ask, the answer is yes.  If you're ever asked and have to answer, the answer is always no.

Glad all well. But, yeah, silly, careful w/ the high fat stuff to bulk up. Chipotle is owned by Burger King - remember that…Better off w/lean meat or protein shakes to gain some weight/muscle mass. Wheat bread/carbs will make you gain weight, I guess, but those calories easily burn off or turn to flab. Beer will make you gain weight, but it's obviously not as healthy as plain ol' protein. My grandma's doctor made her drink one every night to gain. But, I'm a hypocrite, I guess. I eat carbs and should have more protein.
lost two pounds last week

started at 165, shooting for 145 by the time it gets cold again. my daughter was born march 3, so i have limited time for beer (good) and running (bad)
I've been amazed at how quickly I've gotten back to running after my son was born.  He was born Feb 22, and I'm already in my third week of solid running again.  Helps that he's such a good sleeper.

Of course, that doesn't change the fact that, while my wife has not been exercising, she's now lighter than she was before being pregnant, while I'm just packing on the pounds…ooof.

I'm 5'7 and 145 am I a meatball?  ;D
Well don't get Wii Fit to exercise on, you might fall off get injured and become a sex addict.  This is of course also a prime entry for "When Reality Reflects The Onion"

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/04/14/amanda-flowers-claims-wii_n_537242.html

After falling from her Wii Fit board, Flowers reports that even minor vibrations–such as from a food processor, she says– "turns her on." She was told by a doctor that she had suffered a damaged nerve that has provoked "persistent sexual arousal syndrome."
Well that certainly solves the "what to get the wife for mothers day" question.

great, just great
6'5" and 200lbs, down from 215 last year.  Wouldn't mind losing another 5-10 but I'm okay where I'm at.

McDonalds, not Burger King, was the largest shareholder in Chipotle for a while, but they have since divested their shares, and did so almost 5 years ago, mainly because the founder wouldn't bow to pressures from McD's corp to add additional menu items (like cookies and coffee).  The founder credits McD's investment as the reason Chiptole is now a nationwide chain and for helping him deal with a lot of the pressures of fast growth, but he is also happy to be rid of them.  To say that McD's has any influence over how the food is made is to miss the mark completely.
5'11", 210 lbs… some of that is my muscly build, too much of it is fat.  time to kick in to diet mode, looking to shed 15 to 20.  ugh.

related note: any thoughts on overcoming plantar fasciitis?  i haven't been running much recently because of it, hence a few extra lbs.  time to reverse that trend.  i'll be talking to a doctor about it soon but wanted to see if anyone here had any success dealing with it.
good thread, i'm 6'1'' and 180 lbs…my ideal weight would be 184 though…so am actually trying to gain weight…see?, gain weight…
Yeah…

MAN UP!
