You brought up some damn good points. Not only is it an issue with gangs and people being affected by the economy, you have to look at some of these guys doing this are ex-cons in the city. Some of these dudes got locked up before some of these new places were developed. They get released and think "what the fuck? what happened to my neighborhood?". They don't expect to see so many people that appear to have money (mostly white but other races are included) in their area now. And some of these ex-cons are cats who got popped in ths 90s or early to mid-2000s that think that.

DC is a transient city. Its where tourists become residents then leave. And sometimes come back. I think thats part of why the social dymanic of DC is what it is. Its very interesting. No doubt about that. But like Jaguar said, to certain degree have that street smarts with you. You might be feeling all good coming out of UHALL from a great night but if you walk down the back street to get to your place, always keep an eye out and be aware of your surroundings.

i was going to start a thread on just this question… i was under the assumption that he was indeed banned for his bone-headed comments.  i'm one of juless biggest fans, but even i couldn't figure out what the hell drove him to write what he wrote.  in fact, I was going to PM him and ask "are you TRYING to get banned?!?".  looks like he succeeded.

How has no one said anything about the return of Brian Walalace? Or has it been addressed elsewhere?

i think azag said something awhile ago in a thread.  but then brian attacked everybody in some other thread, so i mentioned him in yet another thread.  i do still enjoy that he signs his every post. 

i also like the fact that he thinks everybody on here is white and only wants to talk about soccer and smashing pumpkins.

If its what I think you're talking about, it might've been when I posted in the "Just Announced" thread (like I've been warned to do) and apparently he posted something. I didn't get to read what he posted but the mods definitely did not go for it. If anyone remembers what he said, please post something close to it. I need a good laugh at how ignorant some people can be.

I don't exactly remember what it was but yeah that was about the size of it.
