Good morning. We have news for our web 2.0 friends. We will be releasing the final TO LIVE AND SHAVE IN LA record. This was recorded in 2007 at the Sonic
Youth/Don Flemming compound in NJ. The final TLASIL record is nothing you'd expect. Your personnel for this lp are Don Fleming, Tom Smith, Rat Bastard,
Ben Wolcott, Andrew W.K., Mark Morgan, Chris Grier. This LP is epic and are honored to say the least to be putting it out for your ears. will have song
samples next week.

So, the Yuck record is all sorts of fantastic so far.

Like…every great 1990's indie-rockism rolled into one album.

Every time a new Mogwai album comes out, I think "Maybe this is the one that will get me back into bombastic-yet-subtle instrumental post-rock!" and I'm doing it again with 'Hardcore Will Never Die But You Will'. I've only listened to it once but it sounded great. Not sure if it will stick around though.

Stylistically, it is about the polar opposite of Hazard of Love. This album is much more countryish and sounds kind of like a Neil Young album.

Given your description, it sounds like they chose the perfect band name.

I never liked the theatrics of the Decemberists, so naturally I think their new album is a vast improvement. They'd sound even better with a different lead vocalist.

listening to the new "concept thing" by the knife.  an opera dedicated to darwin and his origin of species.  uhmm, this will take some getting used to.

Do the lesser parts of the opera gradually die off only for the power chords to evolve and strengthen to eventually take over the world? After all, that is often the basic progression of lots of songs. You get that build up to a crescendo with some sort of dénouement. Consider it a sort of musical natural selection.

That is a 2010 release.


And yes, a challenging one.

Meanwhile I'm listening to this new record by a fresh band called Animal Collective and get this, they named it after Merriweather Post Pavillion or something of that nature! Now I've seen everything!

Oh wait, my mistake, I was actually watching 'Conan the Barbarian' with the commentary on.

Just saw this today and very excited about it coming out… Fav Techno Tracks given the Dirtbomb treatment!

I feel as though this press release needs to be shared with everybody.
(I have no idea what this band sounds like)
