myspace sucks u in… such a good way to distract yourself. it's also great way for me to keep in touch with my friends i made when i lived in england and find random bands that make me appear cool… a scenester's paradise!

many things creep me out about myspace, but two in particular…

the recent News corp buyout creeps me as I don't want to funding any other Murdoch agendas. and whats gonna happen to the adult entertainment personalities with numerous friends on that system. i'm guessin another friendster/myspace commnity emerges thats a bit less commerical and dare i say indie.

what is with Marines and Myspace… is there an active recuriting thing going on? i clicked on one of those random featured gal profiles as you do (blame the little smackie sitting on my shoulder) and nearly everyone of the guys on this one profile had pictures of themselves shirtless. more curiosity as to what male mentality needs to show themselves shirtless, reveal most of them were marines. most of whom also needed to also show themselves in uniform. they also in general have questionable taste in music… just a part of american society i have no need to be a part of.

well, you're close, but marines aren't the main determining factor here … myspace is just heavily populated by people who love "the fast and the furious", they often haven't outgrown high school and are completely obsessed with rap-metal, creatine, and tweaking cheap japanese cars … many of these people are also marines, but the whole marine thing is really just a subset of a larger myspace infestation

iam.bme, a body modification community site, has been around for years. it was built from the ground up by shannon larratt, who runs bme,the first, biggest, and most comprehensive body modification site. the layout and tools available are much better than myspace or friendster.

just a friendly note: anyone that goes to either site i just posted, which may or may not be safe for work depending on what you click on, keep an open mind.
