So who's gonna go see Soundgarden?

On the fence right now at $70. If it was $70 at the VC, I'd have already made up my mind to go. Shouldn't be THAT difficult getting out to god forsaken Fairfax during rush, but who am I kidding?
Got my tickets yesterday during presale.  ;D
If QOTSA were opening I'd go in a hearbeat.  But seeing Cornell and Sixth and I a few weeks ago makes this a bit less intriguing, personally.
i am going but i agree with stone the crow

hard to top seeing cornell from third row center 15 feet away at the 6th and i synagogue

basically i been sort of swayed by my friends and what i think is pretty reasonable price for being on the floor

still…i had to buy 2 tickets so i hope i dont get stuck with an extra
i want to catch this tour, but looks like i'll be working in NJ at that time.  might need to catch the show in philly or AC.

mid-week patriot center shows are a pain to get to.  ticketmaster lists a time of 7:30, which i believe is the time the opener hits the stage.  pretty much means you'll be fighting traffic if you want to make it in time for mars volta.
they were good at Lollapalooza last year, but definitely not worth $70

i'd say thats a steal…if you have a high paying job and $70 is a drop in the bucket.

high paying job? if you are like most and pick your shows $65 is doable…its what? 6 hrs of minimum wage?

as always YMMV
I make above average pay, but by the time I pay my taxes, feed my 401K, feed my daughter's college fund, pay her pre-school tuition, feed my family, pay my mortgage, and pay other bills, $70 does seem like an awful lot for a show. Especially when the 8-12 other shows each year are in the 15-25$ range, and in smaller venues.

Anyway, $70 to keep their bassist from being homeless again is a better charity donation than most, I reckon.

sounds like your problem is not the $70 but all your other expenses

he didn't mention how much his household wastes on beer.
;D

Probably much less than yours does. I drink about 6 ozs of beer per day, on average.

Same here. Can't wait!
the mars volta is art.

soundgarden is pop noise hiding behind a facade of "alternative."

the end.

::)  is so  ::)
walkies is extra judgmental today.

he's hurting my feelings.
don't make me go all ne ne leakes on you.
OK question: How do you car-less folk get to the PC during the week? I was planning on Metroing out to Vienna and catching the GMU shuttle to get to the PC, then on the way home, catching a cab back to Vienna Metro and then getting home. Is this feasible?
