all of mine are compressed to the middle thing, 168, or something like that. itunes let you burn an audio CD from Mp3s, but I have never tried, so dont know how it works.
new Brit indie night to start this Sun, Jan.18th
Depending on what I'm ripping or burning, I try to never go below 192. The higher the better. It just eats up more file space. 256 is even better and more preferable. Much fuller and better sound quality. But I do 320 whenever I feel that I can push it.
Thunder Road is one of the greatest songs ever written.

I got to hear:
Bruce Springsteen - Thunder Road
Journey - Dont Stop Believin
some Counting Crows song
Jimmy Buffett
Bon Jovi - Dead or Alive
It must be the worst jukebox in town, luckily the beer is great.

Rhett's a loser.
But he's right. Thunder Road is a great tune.

I hate Springsteen, can't change my mind, too late

What Connor Oberst has been digging of late
The Walkmen listened to Springsteen while recording Everyone Who Pretended to Like Me is Gone
Ben Nichols of Lucero loves Bruce
He's covered by Crooked Fingers, Superchunk, and Ted Leo.

tooms, tooms, where are you. The Boss needs you ….
Or, he doesn't really, does he. He sells out like 27 nights at Giant Stadium in seven minutes. Yeah, I'm not gonna worry about Bruce.

Greetings from Asbury Park would make my Best 15 Albums of All-Time list.
oh and you forgot to add that Badly Drawn Boy (who I actually like a lot more than the Walkmen) has as his favorite perfomers Springsteen and GBV
Umm, and Ballboy do a great cover of Born in the USA too.

Going back to The Rain Band. I'm sure Jag knows, but they have another albums worth of material recorded but aren't signed to a label at present. The Temptation/Fierce Panda contract was for one album only. I saw them live at the Barfly in Liverpool and they put on a really good show. Hopefully they won't get discouraged and break up the band. Going this Friday to the Uni to see three new guitar bands that are on the verge of putting out their first albums (The Cribs, The Blueskins and 10,000 Things). Keep your eyes and ears out for them!
FoGC and others involved, Atmosphere was a great night out! Thanks for all the excellent songs and good luck to getting this as a regular night at Blue Room. It was fun to see so many people out and know they were there for the music, not just to do the hipster hang. I hope to chat with you again soon and introduce you to some other DC music people you might not have met.
