Please no Girl Talk
i've never been . . . but i used to hate merriweather but now i like merriweather and it is a nice scenic ride from my home.  harpers ferry is always a bonus.  i could see myself going this year if the line up was cool.  like dead milkmen cool.  like they fucking rocked out u street cool and deserve to destroy the minds of those to witness such a spectacle, at the v fest.

FRIDAY 05 OCTOBER 2012

New Order
Fox Theater
Oakland, CA, US

SUNDAY 07 OCTOBER 2012

New Order
The Greek Theatre
Los Angeles, CA, US
All right! We have a date and a venue.

Now let's start making educated guesses based on touring schedules around 10/6.

JACK WHITE: Possible. In NY on 9/30 and Texas on 10/13.
M83: Strongly possible. In NY on 10/3 and Charlotte on 10/7.
ALABAMA SHAKES: Possible. In Boston 10/5 and Louisville 10/8.
BEN FOLDS FIVE: Maybe? In Buffalo on 10/5 and Philly 10/7
Already announced in DC that night:

Leftover Salmon (930)
Raveonettes (BC)
MuteMath (RHL)
Herman's Hermits (RHA)
Smithereens (Summerseat Farm ?!?)
David Casside (Birchmere)
Propogandhi (Ottobar)
I can definitely see m83 playing.

I would also guess flying lotus. He is playing NY on 10/7

My virgin mobile phone is made by LG.  Makes sense as last time I went I had Kucero Phone and it was presented by them. I believe Virgin Mobile is owned by Sprint in the US so it is not like Virgin would be sponsoring it.

That's unpossible.
How about M Ward?  he seems to be free.
Could see The Shins coming back. They have the 5th and 6th off before playing Nashville on the 7th.

You mean the James Mercer Band? The Shins included Marty Crandall and Jesse Sandoval.
^ those two dudes didn't write any songs though
Marty beat up his girlfriend.
Good riddance.

I loved the "Shutes too narrow" album but the Shins kind of sucked when they opened for the White Stripes at MPP
