pandemic-era award shows are just well-organized zoom calls.  dunno about you, but i have enough zoom calls as it is.  i certainly ain't spending my sunday night on one… apparently others agree.
I actually enjoyed it more than any awards show in memory *because* it was so toned down.

Nick Cave is up for best recording package (I didn't know he was well endowed?)
Jack Antonoff had quite a 2021

and Barack Obama is going head to head with LeVar Burton and Dave Chappelle in spoken word

Wonder what the cutoff release date for this was? The Fleet Foxes album nominated for best alternative album was released 9/22/20.
