I think if you were to nominate someone they need to be a current active member of the board and I would suggest that everyone is limited to one nomination.  Anyway I still think this is stupid.  Popularity contest among people who are so popular they spend time on a message board that no one posts on.

i would like to nominate hutch, for his entrepreneurship.  he saw that the "boardee of the year" market was under-served, and thus created a second thread - in hopes of cashing in on that BotY gravy.  well done.

It's a Hall of Fame. Sports Hall of Fames, for comparison, won't let people in UNTIL their career is done.

one of my new year's resolutions is to start a thread that takes off… i've tried a few here and there and they've all sunk very quickly… from the quirky (Lady Gaga exploding tits, anyone?) to the guaranteed to succeed (at least two about soccer…)

its actually an embarrassment to me at this point when I should be reaching the mature phase  of my participation on this board..i just can't ever seem to stick to stuff though…
