Agreed.

Hmmm business opportunity here!  Wonder who might jump on that and provide a service that seems to be wanted?  Wish I lived in the area, I would be all over this one.
what a bunch of wussies…valet parking for a rock show
this isn't the opera

come on,  the 930 parking lot is right behind the venue

but again…I hate to agree with RB, but business opp lurking

Don't be afraid.  It only hurts the first time.  Shut up Walky! :P

It's not 1983 and we're not seeing Minor Threat or Marginal Man at the Wilson Center.

The lot fills up (or sells out in advance) for the better attended shows.

Like it or not, the Club is a business.  Premium products at premium prices tend to be very lucrative business decisions.

I am more worried about the Black Cat than 930.
Would be shocked if 930 goes anywhere anytime soon.

Doesn't the Black Cat own its space?  I believe that was the response last time there was an "OMG, the BlacK Cat lost its lease!" rumor (about a year or two ago).
That I didn't know.
Good to know!

I doubt either will go anywhere any time soon but I figured if anyone was vulnerable, it's the Black Cat but it sounds like that's not true.

great idea, sidehatch.

this might not be good news for you, seth - the parking lot sell-outs might not make up for the people who will be turned off by needing to pay for something they previously got free.

forgot to add: whether patrons are forced to pay you or someone else for parking, attending the 930 will become more expensive for no real improvement in the experience.  not that there is a whole lot you can do about it…

Well if the neighborhood becomes nicer that is a bonus.  Like if more restaurants open in the area you could get something to eat before the show.  Also less crime in the area is a bonus to me.

If I had to choose, I'd rather be around window smashers than white collar criminals. Then again, I don't drive.
boy does it ever hurt the first time.
l . . . o . . . l
Somehow I knew it was just a matter of time!
Why does a movie theater opening mean we'll have to pay to park near the 9:30 club?
Well, the movie theatre will be right next door…in the Atlantic Plumbing building.  So the thinking is that there will be substantial competition for the free spots and/or they'll convert free parking to paid.
Were you not paying attention?

Maybe they are planning on building parking.  I doubt they will be successful as a movie theater without additional parking in the area.

and you don't think they won't charge for that parking…making the movie goers look for free parking
