Record Store Day 4/19/14

I really want the REM unplugged, but it's my sister's wedding that day!  argh.

I know the place you are talking about.  Did they have a full selection of record store day stuff?
They had a pretty good selection still available when I went around 1 pm that day.  I am not sure about their initial offering.  I found my APTBS so I was happy.

I might check it out then.
the only thing I want is the Pogues with Joe Strummer live….
Ween .. Ween Ween. Ween
I think I will post my thoughts about Ween in every thread now that is what you guys want.

Ween broke up?  I must have missed that.  Remember when Ween headlined a night at Lollapalooza?  I guess Lollapalooza has really grown since then and Ween has really fallen.
Why aren't they putting out some RSD exclusives?

No one would buy them?
So I was listening to Hamilton, Joe Frank, and Reynolds's "Don't pull your love out on me baby"  the other day I thought they were a one hit wonder but they also had "Fallin in Love".  Reynolds had left the band 3 years earlier but they had kept his name in the band name.  So they are two hit wonders. Unlike Ween.

Record Store Day is the day of the year I avoid record stores.  It has become something for people to foolishly collect stuff instead of just buying what they want to listen to.  I have no desire to wait in line for records for hours.  I actually this makes me not want to shop at record stores than to buy things from them.
I went last year for the first time.  I went later in the day, didnt stand in any lines, and got exactly what i wanted (Vas grabbed me 333 by DOuble Dagger and I grabbed the A Place to Bury Strangers release).

I do agree its for the collectors, but its also to support local record stores. I might drive to Bel Air to support my friend's store this year.

What record store did you go to last year?
i can't remember  it's name - but it's in Catonsville.  I want to say Vas went to Sound Garden. This year I might go to Coda, but it's 40 miles each way for me.

The store in Catonsville is Trax on Wax.
Yep. That is the one.  I am not sure if I will go there this year, but I might since it is probably the closest to me.  If not, I will either go to Sound Garden or Coda.
I would be going there if it wasn't my sister's wedding day.  thinking about getting up early and going to the annapolis store to see if they have anything.

I would recommend staying far away from Sound Garden on Record store day.

I forgot about Annapolis.  That is a lot closer for me.
