Dear Atomic, Whom Should I Listen To?

in fact, while you are at it, listen to opera, for a change, and enlighten your self, for fucking once.
I don't think starbucks sells opera.
I would recommend listening to this chick Petula Clark.

You should start your own thread on who to listen to.  You seem to know a lot of obscure bands.  I am sure people would enjoy your recommendations.
Most obscure bands suck.

Actually I was thinking last night that most sucky popular bands were good at one time.  Or they had a member who was good in a previous band.  I mean Lionel Ritchie sucked badly with such songs as "Say You, Say Me" but that song by the Commodores "Brick House" was surely great.  I mean I am sure if you go back far enough even that loser from Wilco was in a good band once.
I would argue that Wilco is actually a much more enjoyable band than Uncle Tupelo.

Wilco with Jay Bennett sure… although Anodyne is a heck of a record…

I actually think Wilco is a great example, unfortunately, of Atomic's point… they are sort of a different band now…the name remains the same but that is about it and the change has not been for the better…
In this vain I was going to listen to some Electric Light Orcherstra (you know the good band Jeff Lynne was in before he got mixed up with those losers in the Traveling Willburys) but it turns out they only have live ELO albums on Rhapsody.  WTF!!!!

now that's funny….

I always wondered what Lynne did to get so lucky….

lets see who doesn't fit here:

George Harrison
Tom Petty
Bob Dylan
Roy Orbison
Jeff Lynne

Having said all that I love the Lynne-zation did for Petty and the Wilburys…

and I don't need no Rhapsody crap.. I got ELO Box 1 , ELO Box 2, and every ELO LP  and that Lynne solo album with him on an armchair or something. Funny about the live albums because i thought that early ELO live album was only released in Europe.
