it's a really embarrassing black mark for this community that we were unable to send killsaly to go see nickelback.

the "Community Organizer" failed us…. he was trying to raise $500 to buy a $20 ticket..

I was into it for a week.. then I was like… wait a minute? Why do we need to raise so much money so this guy can go see Nickelback?

I wonder if it was a scam of some sort…..trying to get people's email addresses, if not money, or something like that….

$500 is the minimum the service would allow us to set as a goal, hence the charity aspect for the overflow. Also, there were no cheap tickets at the time of the fundraiser starting.

I received no one's email addresses, nor any other personally identifiable information, as part of this.

This was never about sending Killsaly to see Nickelback. Like most Julian endeavors, it was to bring us together by creating a sense of wonder.

I bet that would have been epic…
