He asked people to stop calling him Billy like five years ago. Complained he was an adult and it was a child’s name.  ;D
Tesla!

Watched The Prestige this week and was like….'That actor really looks like David Bowie'
welp his last major movie role and he was great

Liked the movie, but not even in the top 5 of Christopher Nolan movies
an…advent calendar?

a second Barbie doll, didn't realize there was a first

This Barbie doll models an authentic replica of the bespoke powder-blue suit Bowie wore in the LIFE ON MARS music video, including a foil-printed pin-stripe shirt, statement tie, and platform shoes. Her hairstyle and bold blue eyeshadow are inspired by Bowie’s ‘70s glam look."

Also didn't hear about the first, and it's already too late to buy the second.

Here's the first

a bit of a coke head (but we already knew this)

Still gone

after 7 years, still kind of sad that he is no longer with us
(Or was) a mime

“Today in 1969, T. Rex kicked off their tour of the U.K. at the Free Trade Hall in Manchester. Their opening act on this night was David Bowie performing a one-man mime act. According to Mental Floss, Marc Bolan "invited Bowie to open for T. Rex on the band's 1969 tour. At Bolan's insistence, Bowie performed his one-man mime routine depicting China's invasion of Tibet. Bowie was an experienced mime, having trained under choreographer (and Marcel Marceau protege) Lindsay Kemp." Concert goers were apparently not fans of the act, and Bowie was often met with boos and heckles. But Bowie would be fine, as Space Oddity was released that summer and the rest was history” @davidbowie @t.rexbolanofficial
I thought this was pretty well known? Marc invited him on tour ONLY if he would mime instead of preform music. It hurt Bowies ego. A few years later, TRex was opening for him.
Well I knew about some of his arty/drag show/mime stuff

but didn't realize he opened for Marc as a mime

Can you believe that Marc had  21 top 40 singles in the UK! T. Rex became one of the first post-Beatles acts to enjoy that level of success,
feel like he is a footnote in musical history, but was quite the force at the time

Shame he didn't make it past 30 (died not of drugs, but in a car crash his baby-momma was driving)
