Happy 50th Anniversary Grateful Dead

Didn't happen for me.  Anybody have 1 or 2 extras?

I won't pay a fortune for them.

how much was the travel package?

$2360 - includes 6 x $215 tickets (great seats) and 3-nights in a 4-star hotel in downtown Chicago.  I had a cheaper hotel lined-up, but that probably would have only saved me about $100/night.

that is not bad at all …congrats!

so is that 3 tickets for 2 people? so you go every night?

Yep - a pair of tickets for each of the 3 shows.  Going all 3 nights.
nice
I, like meltdowns as much as the next guy. But, the meltdowns associated with not being able to get tickets to the shows, that I am reading online, are beyond the price of admission.
There, seems to be a huge consensus, that the dead really fucked this up, and that scalping is adding major insults to the fire. Of course, such speak is coming from people, who didn't get tickets or who got ones behind stage.  Lol.
I knew it even before clicking!
this Jerryfest is going to be awesome

I like to imagine that this is sort of like the State of the Union for jam bands where one band is not allowed there and secured in a safe, secret location so that if terrorists hit, utter shit music can live on.

We've got a bunch of old timers and then 3rd and 4th tier jam bands plunkin' away at Dead tunes. No way this is better than Fare Thee Well, hutch. Can you imagine the reggae version of St. Stephen that OAR slays, chills!!!

I love Los Lobos, but them playing a seven minute Bertha doesn't make up for the other four hours of music.
