These shows were terrific.  I also caught the following night in Philly.  Good times.

You live 3,000 miles away, probably a good call.

Sorry, I was referring to the show in Chicago, so only 2,000 miles.  But I agree, good call.
unfortunately I'm now tending to agree with Yada… oh boy… sucks..sucks to be wrong..sucks that it is not what i want…

I mean four hours to get through all these acts? they'll be lucky to have each act play one song! unless i'm missing something this is really just a made for TV/DVD special that those in attendance will be footing…
still glad its at Merriweather but I'd like to know a little more what I'll be getting for my money here…..
Talking to myself again I guess…

I just assumed it was like an all day Jerry festival.. even when they did Bobfest the acts got a few songs….

A presale for this would be swell.  Especially something for us locals, since people are going to be coming from all over for this one.

I don't want to get scolded again but sweetcell, but yea, it's basically going to be bunch of shuffling of bands on and off the stage all night for some limp wristed covers.

I don't believe you.

I'm not sure which I find more humorous.  The fact that you think I would go to a Grateful Dead show or the fact that I would lie about my ability to attend one.

Friends don't let friends do Dead.
Was there supposed to be something about the Jerry tribute in last night's blast?  It's listed in the Subject line, but there's no reference to the show in the message.

yup…just noticed the same thing… very strange

You have no dog in this race as someone who criticizes these bands and  the scene for all my years on this here forum!

oh please.  i do it to get a rise outta lady hutch.  i've been to a few jamband shows.  if i somehow got tickets i would go to the chicago shindig (mostly to check out the scene).  that doesn't mean we can't make fun of the seething mass of stereotypes that are the deadheads.

P.S.S. sweetcell, met a dude the other night that knew you from your home brewers club. A guy named Sean, he had prob. one of the best home brewed IPAs I've ever had.

cool!  he's a great brewer indeed, i've had many of his brews and not a single one has disappointed.  i'm brewing this weekend - talk to me in a few weeks, we'll see if sean still holds the "best homebrewed IPA" title ;D

Sweetcell makes one of his increasingly rare appearances and gets power-slammed..

really?  being told i have no dog in the race is being "power-slammed", in your opinion?  no wonder it's so easy to win arguments with you…
I am Hutch Rock cause I like to Rock…I cannot lie…
Any insight into the promo sale for "Dear Jerry" tickets today?    Is that the Citibank presale?

FYI - It was the Citicard presale.  There's another presale tomorrow and that password is already public knowledge.  :-\
