What is this Unplugged Encore #5?  The show didn't end at #4?

People started leaving.. but then like 5 minutes later Robert Smith came out with an acoustic guitar, sat on my lap and played the extra encore for Melania , SideSquint and Seth….

Great show.
Arrived early, gate crashed and VIPeed.
Lounged in what must be a make-shift temporary VIP lounge down by the drainage pond.
Twilight Sad singer channeled Michael Stipe's antics.
The Cure were impressive. What a catalogue of great songs. Still surprised at myself for never seeing them before.
Thanks to Bagley for acquiring the Pit tickets when I failed to do so.
Only issue, was the 5'11" 300lb gentlemen who stood in front of me around 20 minutes in. Problem resolved in a few minutes, but he was like a total eclipse of the Cure.

Sounds like someone was really into the show.

What a beauty.
The foolproof way into Merriweather is via westbound Little Patuxent Parkway/175.  Stay right at veer onto Governor Warfield Parkway.  Take either of the left turns in to the mall parking lot.

Bummed that the "secret handshake" lot was full.

me too! it felt like the end of an era…

i must have pre-partied there dozens of times…. now it had turned into an "official" lot.. packed and full of the usual problems.. you know.. other people etc…
Is there a reason they seem to never play Friday I'm In Love live?  I don't really follow the Cure but it just seems odd seeing its one of their most well know songs.
I guess you can no longer park in the mall lot for shows.  That was always the go-to.

I was happy they didn't.

The real secret is up 29, skip the main entrance to MPP, take the next exit, flip a bitch, come down 29, and enter the south entrance to MPP. Always a win.

They played it at Madison Square Garden on Saturday and it was awesome.
Can't you still park at the mall for free and walk over?
They did play some other songs from Wish…..

You can, at designated places.
Yeah, I parked in the Lord & Taylor parking garage and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I got from there to 29 South. Took me about half the time getting home that it did getting up there.
