I think I saw Bearman and Bombay Chutney there (Tuesday night), but it's been many years since I've run into you guys, so I wasn't 100% sure and didn't say anything.
We were there!
Screen printing was $25 for the t-shirt and $10 for a tote the bag and you could choose up to two different designs on them. There was a choice of the Nirvana setlist on a plate, a schedule from the old club, a black flag flyer and one other flyer who I can't recall right now.
And with all the screens in place the view from the DJ booth wouldn't have been very far ;)

A bit more than the last time I saw them… But still pretty good.
I wanna go back. I loved it that much!
so over on the 930s facebook page, there were several people quite angry saying that black artists weren't represented at all other than a public enemy setlist, bad brains something or the other and like 1 other thing.
i haven't been yet. thoughts?

Well when I was there they had footage of the Leon Bridges show playing, the bass on stage was from Big Tony of Trouble Funk, I saw a clip of Chuck Brown playing at there a least one Trouble Funk poster was seen.. seems to me…
edit: that was awesome
To the people of color question..,. There were way more than that represented. Heck in the hallway outside the downstairs bathrooms, I counted at least 12 black artists, just there. I did not keep count for the whole thing, but I think the post you are referencing was a bit hyperbolic ….

that's some serious tongue.
Just got home from my 8:00 appointment. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks, Seth!
Just missed the Big Guy at the book table. Would have definitely asked for a signature in my shiny new book.

I managed to snag a ticket for last night (thanks challenged!) a few highlights:
1) Super fucking cool.
2) Randomly saw Bags at the bar beforehand, who caught my attention ordering "chilled shitty vodka." Hadn't see her in years and years…great catching up.
3) The rat
4) Walking up the steps and the first thing I see is video of the Jesus Lizard playing the old club.
5) Immediately after getting to thank Seth and shake his hand for the super fucking cool event
6) Immediately after that hearing a group ask "who is that?" in the video. Told them the Smashing Pumpkins. Woman says "Oh, I was at that show! Only like 15 people were there!". And then another ten-ish people all agreed that they were there too. Weird coincidence, right? ;)
For a free event, it was nice to drop close to $200 bucks on beers and merch.

I know I was really tempted too…
Couldn't help buying a poster but was the only person I saw that wanted the F Street one. I actually liked the V Street one better but I had to go with the joint I grew up with.

The V street one was pretty cool
I normally don't buy the show posters as I don't have any where to display them
the artist RockestareRed did them
I was a little surprised by the one poster that I bought in a long time ended up being rehashed for this

this one has the josh shadow
