welcome to FYRE FESTIVAL, brought to you by julian's america (in barbados)

so apparently Ja Rule organized a "luxury" festival guaranteeing supermodels, champagne - with a price to match.  based on early reports, it's turned into a cross between lord of the flies and a refugee camp (minus the international aid).

from a FB buddy:

there are festival disasters and then there is this. https://www.fyrefestival.com/ . Seems to be unfolding in real time. "The villa" option goes for $4350 and turns out to be a red cross disaster recovery tent. and I though the tents at the symbiosis fest were a scam (they are) . There is a sucker born every minute

OMG i might not get any work done today.  this shit is fascinating.  it can't all be that bad… can it?
We actually elected not to partner with this fly-by-night operation. No true luxurophile would plan for a festival that overlaps with the Derby.
This is totally making my Friday.
There's one guy who found someone's notebook on the ground and it says they have 50-75 security guards. Also the "to do" list is hilarious.

Wait, wait, there's a Kendall Jenner afterparty but the drink list does not include Pepsi. Someone done fucked up.

This is actually a fascinating read which has been outlining for months that the promoters were massively in debt, lying about major details, and had no infrastructure in place for this.
I can't help but laugh at this.  The incoming lawsuits will be crazy.

Yeah, they're going to sue an LLC that (supposedly) was funding the entire thing with a $5mil bridge loan. Good luck with that!

I mean if these people are really being deprived of food and water as they say I'd imagine there is some legal path you could take to get some cash.

"Hmmm, thousands of people will be arriving in two weeks, prob should go look at t the site. Then I'll finally start that Excel sheet with all the lines on it."
Bimini Superfast is apparently the yacht that goes along with the $120,000 ticket option.
This is not going to be good for Coolio's mountaintop ski adventure weekend
Reminiscent of Field Day Festival

Honest to God, I assumed it was a diet.

your ability to stay in character, despite direct attack, is unlike any other.  bravo!
