Total crap.
It’s just so overplayed!

Agreed. The first time it was ever played it had been played too many times.
Oh cool I can celebrate the release of London Calling twice as it was released in the today and in the US in January.  Regardless of the misdirected hatred of this album, I haven’t listened to In donkey years and yet today I know each song’s lyrics and running song order.  Definitely part of DNA this one
If you hate London Calling you are a moron.

The Clash will receive Lifetime Achievement Awards at the 2025 Grammy Awards

Good for them. Truly no one ever did more with less — talent, that is.

can confirm (along with 14 other bands… sorry, U2 & Maiden):

The Eagles really aren’t a band

They were until about 75

But afterwards it became a behemoth with a revolving cast

Fleetwood Mac to me is the 75-87 version.

The rest doesn’t figure

With the Eagles I can’t deny Hotel California is an interesting album but by that point it wasn’t a “band”…more like an agglomeration
Today I got The Clash coffee table book for 2 dollars

And pipe down in the back as it was to benefit the local PTA and there is one page devoted to Cut The Crap
