Pete Doherty - either with the Libertines or Babyshambles
but, fuck, the libertines put on some great shows here … the black cat one in '04 (?) with british sea power opening, in particular
Yes, that Libertines show at the Black Cat was great. I believe it was around August 2003. Would have been cool to see Doherty w/ the band though - have to think he kicked it up a notch.

Another (sort of) - the reunited Stooges. I guess they haven't been too many places, but it'd be nice to get them to DC.

Sidenote to that - I was flipping through some book, I think Please Kill Me, and there was a story about the Stooges playing Constitution Hall in the early 70's. Who are the ad wizards who booked that?

I'm waiting for them too. Since they got back together, I think they've done more overseas festivals than U.S. gigs….Virgin fest Seth? :)

fugazi.
ha. The Fugazi one made me laugh.
Fuck that. 9:30 Club Seth?

That's one of the few shows I'd think about paying $50 to see. Although my one day Bumbershoot pass got me in to see them for about $16 in 2005 (in a much more intimate venue than Virgin Fest).

Maximo Park (Hey Seth…)
I think they were on the bill with Keane and The Killers at MPP the summer before last.
Yeah, I was aware of that, but I don't think Columbia, MD counts. I would think to qualify for the DC area, the place would have to be metro accessible…

Plus, I'd like to see em in a club setting.
The Grip Weeds
The Sugarplastic (at least since 96)
Troy Gregory and the Step Sisters
Skye (Morcheeba appearences don't count)
The Mockers
The Negro Problem / Stew

They played Baltimore way back in the day. The whole band, with Jim. Not the what's left of them Doors.

Saw them in NY with Mike Watt on bass and it totally killed. They'll play DC I'd think when they tour for the new album they're doing with Steve Albini. Who knows where, but I'll be there no matter what. Iggy is still an amazing performer and the band sounded great.
has incubus ever played here?

I saw them in 1993, I believer, at DAR. It was somewhere downtown, can't really remember where.
Big Star (even the new Posies one).
