90's grunge was hailed as the antidote to 80's hair metal, but other than a couple of good songs by Nirvana, it really sucked just as much. So any of the 90's grunge bands.

With that rationale the New York Dolls are hair metal?!?

Referring to music in terms of hair is so stupid

I am not so sure pop metal has aged badly…I mean Def Leppard sounds great to me
