Other than Cruz being dragged over his inane comment about the Paris accord…my Twitter timeline seemed a lot less doomscrolling then usual, Bernie memes helped a bunch

What a day! I have really enjoyed today.
I feel like having a president that doesn’t spend his days hating on me is such a breath of fresh air…a president that is working for me.
While we need to deprogram as many Trump cultists as possible we also need to deprogram ourselves.. we no longer need to check to see what Trump is doing or bear his hate and that of his minions.. we no longer have to waste our energy on him.. it’s like we suffered a type of PTSD
We do still have to contend with that impeachment question…Pelosi will send the articles to the Senate tomorrow. Trump still hasn't named a defense team, which may be a strategy to couch this as an unfair trial.

True …but I can leave that to the senate…
What exactly will my following it accomplish?
Am I supposed to get exercised about impeachment?
I got to move on.. I need to move on
Am pretty sure Trump wants me focused on him

True, the news cycle will happen whether we follow or not, but that has always been true. A guilty verdict could be very good and very bad for America at the same time…

never going to happen…DC Statehood and ending the Filibuster are more likely than this
Now we could get a trial and get a number of important people to talk under oath and on camera…that might have some impact

It’s totally different when he was president acting on my behalf, with my dollars and taking decisions that affected me and my family!! But even then the focus on his every tweet was way overdone… particularly given they were mostly lies and he adopted multiple positions on the same issue.
To each their own but this constant focus on Trump is an illness…and it’s counterproductive. It is not even good citizenship whatever people want to convince themselves of…

It did feel like it tho…
the biggest issue was the 'shock and awe' volume of it, there were just so many abnormal things going on at once, it felt like if you didn't point it out, it would be missed
but he's just taking a breather…the people who should be worried are the GOP, he is going to badger them to no end to get his base to come to his tv network and join the patriot party
question is will the big donors go too

Do not forget the last global pandemic was followed by the
ROARING 20's!*
*I highly recommend you not look at what happened in the decade after the 1920's.
