Euro and Copa America 2021

The goal was pretty nice, but my first thought was about the incredible passing that led up to that…26, pretty amazing stuff
almost seemed like the other team wasn't there, but they were actually trying hard to stop them
Well that’s the point!! It’s a collective goal! All 26 passes are the goal! The last touch goes in the net
Portugal - Germany is a cracker

1-2 at halftime and Portuguese players have scored all three goals so far!
Denmark beats Russia 4-1 to advance to knockout phase making everyone happy

Really lost any respect for UEFA when they made Denmark play their opener just a few hours after Eriksen died and was brought back to life on the pitch
New angle on the goal 35 years ago today

I remember exactly where I was watching…

#notthehandofgodgoal
It’s also 35 years from that one…

I think it’s remarkable the amount of whining some people do about it… as if the goal changed the result…Nobody was going to beat Maradona that World Cup. After Argentina was up 2-0 it basically lay back and England managed to get one back. Just like when Argentina was up 2-0 against Germany and it laid back and Germany tied it up in the final only for Maradona to thread a beautiful pass for the 3-2 winner… It would have been the same end result that day. But I do find it enjoyable on some extra level that after the hand of god Maradona did that to England like “You didn’t like that? How about this one?”

I remember that day…watching with family in Menlo Park and after the hand of god goal trying to figure it out..those where the days of smaller TVs…not hdtv…Univision not exactly renown for their camera angles etc although it was probably a feed but again not a million cameras like now.. my dad insisting Maradona had headed it in! That was embarrassing…

It’s just remarkable to me: you have the goal of the century and you are going to focus on the hand of god you whiny bitch? Really?

And on the 35th anniversary of these goals I root for England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿!!
Spain up 5-0 over Slovaks

Two more own goals

What is going on with own goals?

Americans wanted more goals….not really the way I was thinking it would be done, but getting those numbers up!
Sentimental faves Denmark up 2-0 against Wales at 63 minute mark in Euro round of 16.
Final score 4-0

Geebus what a day at euros and not over yet!
Wow Switzerland…that was exciting
Are we supposed to start saying ITS COME HOME now or do we wait for one more victory before jinxing England to choke like dogs? Please advise.
England 2 - Germany 0

Sometimes things work out ..after 54 years in a major tournament

I thought Germany looked a lot better in the first half but looking better doesn’t win games and that’s why you play the game

A weird Germany team…no deadly killer instinct and no comeback..these are traits built in their DNA over decades

Seeing German goalie still gives me convulsions and a rage attack ..no team has fucked with my well-being harder..

I would be shocked if England won tournament but rooting for them cause they have earned it with their Premier League: the best soccer in the world
Ukraine 2- Sweden 1
