blue ribbon isn't a thing north of the border, at least when & where i grew up.  i only ever saw it on tv/movie screens of american shows.  so, in my opinion it would make sense not to include in canuckle… but maybe things have changed?  or perhaps it was more common closer to the US border?

Hmm..if it had been 6, I would say labatt
this site seems to think differently about PBR??

Pabst Blue Ribbon
PBR is a relatively good beer that’s also cheap too. But it appears that people tend to look down on this beer just for being a popular, low-cost option. Sure, the profile of this beer may not meet some people’s higher expectations, but it is one of the cheap Canadian beer brands you should try.

the article is from last year… so maybe PBR caught on after i left?  i haven't lived in canada for over 20 years.  lots can change.

Even when I was a kid, I felt like Pabst was super popular in Detroit/Ohio/Pennsylvania and the southern parts of Ontario just north of them. Like I thought was a Canadian beer from how absolutely ubiquitous it was in Windsor as a child.
^ lol.  perfectly on brand and didn't see that coming.

lame no mention of quordle etc…

and how https://www.wordle2.in/ for you six letter wordsmiths…

quordle is the one i can't routinely solve all four on.. far to easy to get stuck with a word that shares several letters and running out of guesses

getting better on the 8 and 16 word versions
I have found my Quordle success greatly increases when completing the puzzle via deskop vs. my phone.

jeebus.  i can't imagine playing any of these games on mobile.  but maybe my imagination is limited in this regard.  doesn't feel like it tho.

Interesting… I assumed most people played via mobile. We should poll the other four posters.
Generally mobile. The interface sucks, but I've always got my phone.

i spend all day in front of a desktop (actually a laptop with a second monitor).  doing something on the phone requires a context switch, for me.

also, i'm on the pre-mobile side of the age divide.  i spent too long with a full keyboard and a large screen.  by the time smartphones were a thing, i was set in my ways.  there is nothing i can't do faster on a desktop than on a mobile.  my phone is essentially a reading-only device.  it's an input device when i don't have the better alternative.
Wordle OG (or the NYT version if we're delineating) I play on my phone but I play speed wordle on the unlimited version, quordle, etc on my computer.
Desktop, but I suspect most people do it on mobiles, except for the 4x, 8x, and 16x varieties.

can confirm…my near-blindness also is leading me to less and less phone reading
I play all the versions on my phone… and yes I occasionally screw up because I’ll forget to scroll up and miss a letter already identified

Quordle continues to be my nemesis as far as not getting all four, because I’ll run out of guesses
do we need a thread for Koz's many nemesis
